You and Nick Titmus started building the UK team in 2018, tell us about that journey!
We were approached in mid-2018 by SeenThis to launch the UK market; initially it seemed a somewhat interesting proposition to run video assets into display ad units as this had been tried some ago and essentially killed the UX across many publishers sites because nothing was done to optimize the asset to the environment is was going to run in - Display placements.
The load on page was far too high and led to many publishers blocking it and agencies leaving with a far from ideal experience - this was due simply to nothing being done about the assets configuration & weight; it was a whole video file without any tailoring to make it efficiently deliver into Display placements.
Today, Nick leads a team of 15 from our London office, in The Gherkin, as our UK General Manager, and I work across all markets in my role.
We have come a long way in 5 very short years.
